The laboratories of the project “Accelerated digitalization for SMEs in the North-Central region through the creation and development of a European Digital Innovation Hub”, implemented by the Regional Innovation Centre “Ambitious Gabrovo”, were officially opened.

The event was attended by the project partners – the University of Veliko Tarnovo “St. Sv. Cyril and Methodius“, the National Military University ”Vasil Levski“, the Regional Administration of Razgrad, the Economic Academy ”Dimitar A. Tsenov“ – Svishtov and ”Tinosaur” Foundation, as well as representatives of Gabrovo Municipality, Gabrovo Regional Administration and the Ministry of Innovation and Growth.

The labs will give enterprises the opportunity to experiment with new technologies before investing real money, thus reducing risk and increasing the efficiency of digital transformation.

This is a key step towards increasing the digital maturity and competitiveness of SMEs. Access to advanced technologies and training will promote sustainable growth and open new horizons for innovation in Gabrovo, supporting the region’s vision “From an industrial past to a digital future”.

The project is funded by the Programme “Research, Innovation and Digitalisation for Smart Transformation” 2021–2027, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund. The project is coordinated by the Regional Innovation Centre “Ambitious Gabrovo”.
