The AI EDIH is proud to announce that companies have officially begun utilizing the newly installed state-of-the-art equipment in the 3D Printing Laboratory. The laboratory, which now features a Laboratory Extruder and a Laboratory Chamber, is already attracting interest and engagement from regional SMEs exploring advanced manufacturing capabilities.
The Laboratory Extruder enables the creation of custom filaments and experimental materials, significantly broadening the possibilities for prototype development and product customization. Complementing this, the Laboratory Chamber ensures controlled environmental conditions critical for the precision and consistency of 3D-printed components, particularly those used in high-performance or industrial applications.
The lab is open to SMEs and public organizations across sectors including automotive, healthcare, consumer products, and industrial engineering.
These developments underscore AI EDIH’s commitment to empowering businesses with accessible and practical tools to accelerate digital transformation and foster regional innovation.

EDIH North Central Bulgaria has acquired the laboratory equipment under project BG16RFPR002-1.002-0001-C01 “Accelerated Digitalisation for SMEs in the North-Central Region through the Establishment and Development of EDIH North Central Bulgaria”. The project is funded by the Programme “Research, Innovation and Digitalisation for Smart Transformation” 2021–2027, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund. The project is coordinated by the Regional Innovation Centre “Ambitious Gabrovo”.
