On May 22, 2025, a training session was held for operating a profilometer – an asset delivered under the project BG16RFPR002-1.002-0001-C01 “Accelerated Digitalisation for SMEs in the North-Central Region through the Establishment and Development of EDIH”. The project is funded by the Programme “Research, Innovation and Digitalisation for Smart Transformation” 2021–2027, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund. The training was organized as part of the pre-investment testing service.

The profilometer is installed at the address of the Regional Innovation Centre “Ambitious Gabrovo”, located at 7 Raiko Daskalov Street, Gabrovo. This asset is part of the equipment in the laboratory “Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing”.

The equipment is accessible to all interested companies, provided they sign a Request-Agreement with the Regional Innovation Centre, which serves as the coordinator of the project.

To date, the following companies have shown interest in using the device: Mechatronica JSC, Impulse AD, Elna Ltd., Technoles Ltd., and Adtech Ltd.
