On July 17, 2025, an online training session was successfully held for the one-stop shop teams in the North Central Region (Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, Svishtov, Razgrad, and Silistra). The event was organized by the Regional Innovation Center – Gabrovo and aimed to prepare the teams for effective collaboration with innovative SMEs and public organizations in the region.
📌 Training Highlights
During the session, the one-stop shop teams were introduced to:
- The core responsibilities of one-stop shops and their role as regional coordinators;
- The service delivery process – from eligibility check, service selection, and contract signing to digital maturity assessment using the Open DMAT tool;
- The eligibility criteria for enterprises and public organizations;
- The target client profile – SMEs with innovation potential.
🧪 Presented Equipment and Laboratories
The training also showcased the infrastructure of the EDIH, which includes the following laboratories:
- AI in Manufacturing – CNC lathes, 5-axis machining centers, profilometer, industrial robot, AI demonstration line;
- 3D Printing Laboratory – laboratory extruder, climate chamber, 3D printer (in delivery);
- Environmental Laboratory – test printer with UV dryer, spectrophotometer and environmental test chamber;
- Digital Twin & VR Laboratory – high-performance computers and VR headsets for simulation and training.
🎯 Services for Businesses and Public Organizations
The EDIH offers the following support to innovative SMEs and public sector organizations:
- Access to equipment and laboratories for testing and validating innovations;
- Training programs – both theoretical and hands-on, in real production environments;
- Support for funding access and partnerships;
- Consulting and digital maturity assessments.
