Association “Association of Young Scientists” invites you to participate in the implementation of the “Incubator for Young Talents” project, financed by the “Erasmus+” program of the EU. The organizers aim to gather in one place leaders from business, education and administration, scientific organizations and the NGO sector, to meet the young talents from the district and region, bearers of idea projects.
The main goal of the project is to support young talents who are part of the local community and participants in the project to propose their innovative solutions to real problems and challenges indicated by the municipalities, by receiving funding to develop their prototypes and ideas that can contribute to successfully addressing these challenges at the local level. For this purpose, the project team has already sent a request to all municipalities on the territory of the Gabrovo region, asking them to indicate up to 5 main problems and challenges that they have to deal with in the next 3-5 years. The next step is for the selected youth to come up with innovative ideas to tackle these challenges by combining science and business. Young talents will have the opportunity to use their scientific knowledge and entrepreneurial skills to develop sustainable solutions that can contribute to a real improvement of the local and regional environment.
Who is the project suitable for?
All young and enterprising people with ideas, aged between 13 and 30, from Gabrovo and the Region.

How and where will the event take place?
The project activities will be implemented in the city of Gabrovo on November 17 (Sunday) 2024, from 12:00 until 18:00 at the address – Conference Hall of the University Library of the Technical University, Gabrovo, Hadji Dimitar Street No. 4
Is it free?
Participation in the project, after approval, is completely free! The costs of participation in the project activities are at the expense of the organizers.
Will participants receive a certificate?
All project participants will receive a European Youthpass certificate. This certificate is the recognition tool developed for projects implemented in the European youth programmes. Through it, participation in such projects can be recognized as an educational experience and a period of informal and independent learning.
Who will be the speakers?
Vadim Roshmanov – has more than 15 years of experience in the civil sector (NGO). He starts as a volunteer and reaches the head of organizations with significant regional, national and international status. One of these structures, of which he is the chairman, is the Association of Young Scientists. During these 15 years, Vadim Roshmanov managed projects with a total value of over 500 thousand euros. He actively participates as a lecturer on civic education, entrepreneurship and management in various forums and seminars. He completed postgraduate studies in “Political Sciences” at the International University. Invited to join the staff of the Standing Committee on “Education and Science” of the 49th and 50th National Assembly as an unaffiliated associate. He has experience in working with investors from other countries who have an investment interest in Bulgaria. He also has 10 years of experience in the private sector, as an “Expansion and Sales” manager of a Bulgarian company for the production of wine and high-alcohol beverages.
Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Stankov – leading expert in the ICT sector, IT manager and deputy. head of the “Cybersecurity” department at the “Computer Systems and Management” faculty of the Technical University – Sofia. For more than 15 years, he has been actively involved in non-governmental organizations, co-founder and deputy. Chairman of the Association “Association of Young Scientists” (AMU) and National Coordinator of the Association “Association for International Social Development” (AMOR). He has extensive experience in the coordination and management of numerous national and international projects, both in the public and private sectors.
Dr. Mihaela Ivanova – is a doctor in “Economics and Management” at the Technical University – Sofia. She is the co-founder and vice-president of the Association of Young Scientists. He has more than 8 years of professional experience in local administration and more than 5 years of working in the private sector as part of its commitments are related to the implementation of non-strategic management approaches, the application of new technologies for the utilization of resources – the implementation of intelligent electrical networks. Actively works in the field of circular economy. In recent months, he has also been the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of one of the capital’s major companies. There are numerous scientific publications, some of them in international editions.
Dr. Sibel Aziz – is a doctor in “Genetics” at Plovdiv University “Paisiy Hilendarski”. Currently, he is the main assistant at the Institute of Vegetable Crops “Maritsa” – Plovdiv at the Agricultural Academy. He is a member of the Board of the University Center for Doctoral and Postdoctoral Students “Academia Iuventutis” at the PU “P. Hilendarski”. She is the vice-president and head of the Biological Sciences Department of the Association of Young Scientists. He has many years of experience in the civil sector and working with NGOs. She participated in a number of national and international trainings, seminars and conferences. She was also part of student and volunteer organizations.
Plamena Petkova – has more than 15 years of experience in the civil sector (NGO). Currently, he is an assistant in the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Economics of Thrace University. He is a member of the Association for International Social Development (ASD) and vice-chairman of the “Association of Young Scientists”, Department “Innovations in Agriculture”. He has many years of experience with projects under the “Youth in Action” and “Erasmus+” programs in various European countries. She was the organizer of a number of meetings-discussions, round tables, seminars on youth issues and issues related to civil society.
Dr. Magdelina Kitanova is the head of the “Political Analysis” department at the “Association of Young Scientists”. He has experience as a teacher at University College Dublin and an associate professor at the American University in Bulgaria. Dr. Kitanova completed her PhD in Politics at the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, receiving an Economic and Social Research Council studentship for her research. The thesis of her doctoral dissertation argues the importance of political institutions in shaping the levels of youth political participation in the EU. Dr Kitanova was a Research Skills Lecturer in Politics and Political Systems at the University of Southampton. He has experience as a data analyst at the European Commission. She has presented her research at numerous conferences and participated in interdisciplinary projects in Bulgaria, Great Britain, Australia, Iceland, Germany and Italy.
