Future joint cooperation was discussed today by teams from the Regional Administration – Veliko Tarnovo and the European Digital Innovation Hub for the North Central Region. The initiative for the meeting came from the Regional Governor Ivaylo Zdravkov, and on his behalf joined his two deputies – Yulia Likomanova – Mutafchieva and Ivan Marinov, the Secretary General – Anelia Nedeva, directors and experts.
Maria Ilcheva, Svetoslav Mateev and Alexander Angelov presented the activities of the European Hub, which was established within the project ‘Accelerated digitalization for small and medium-sized enterprises in the North Central region through the creation and development of a European Digital Innovation Hub’. The main focus, as the name suggests, is related to the implementation of innovative technologies in the business environment, but also in public administrations in the North Central Region. The focus falls on the economic sectors of mechatronics, informatics and information and communication technologies.
During the workshop, opportunities for the development and implementation of digital innovations to optimize the work of the District Administration were discussed, including chatbot prototyping and demonstration, development of digital doubles, and practical training on the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
Veliko Tarnovo Regional Administration will be the first regional administration in the country to benefit from the work of the centre.
