The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) – the world’s largest support network for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) – annual three-day conference in Bilbao, Spain.
The conference took place under the theme ‘The EEN at 15: Showing the Way Forward for SMEs’. It focused on how the network’s business support services could best meet the evolving needs of SMEs, while celebrating the 15th anniversary of the network.
The annual conference is the biggest event of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), comprising over 3,000 experts from more than 450 organisations in over 40 countries. These include innovation and regional development agencies, chambers of commerce and industry, technology centres, and research institutes. This year’s conference brought together 800 participants in Bilbao and many more connected online.
The conference is organized alongside the SME Assembly as a main component of the European SME Week pan-European event to promote entrepreneurship and SMEs in Europe. Through a range of workshops and networking sessions, participants discussed how the Network can contribute to the European industrial transition, exchange best practices, build synergies, and reflect on improving the quality and visibility of EEN services. The conference provided important feedback for the continuous efforts of the EEN to help SMEs innovate, grow internationally, and foster cooperation and synergies across borders among network members.
As a part of the Network and the Bulgarian consortium InnoForward RIC “Ambitious Gabrovo” had its representative attending the conference in Bilbao, Spain from 15 to 17 November.
