RIC Gabrovo recently took part in a productive project meeting for the ALLON_I3 – Alliance on Interregional Innovation Investments initiative, hosted by ADRAL in Évora, Portugal.
As a key partner in this EU-funded project under the Horizon Europe programme, RIC Gabrovo is committed to fostering innovation ecosystems and enhancing investment opportunities across European regions. The project focuses on critical areas such as ICT and digitalization, clean technologies, energy and environment, and sustainable development.
The meeting brought together partners from across Europe, including:
- Bulgaria – RIC Gabrovo
- Italy – PRISM Impresa Sociale s.r.l.
- Greece – Academy of Entrepreneurship (AKEP.EU)
- Cyprus – SYNTHESIS Center for Research & Education
- Denmark – NordDanmarks EU-Kontor / NorthDenmark EU-Office
The discussions revolved around strategies for interregional innovation, funding opportunities, and planning the next steps in the project’s implementation. The collaborative exchange of knowledge and expertise helped strengthen the collective vision for sustainable innovation and regional development.
A key highlight of the event was a capacity-building session led by experts from the Norwegian Business Angel Network (NorBAN). This session, featuring insights from local Alentejo companies, provided practical knowledge on innovation investment, equipping participants with valuable strategies to support regional entrepreneurship.
Additionally, a study visit was organized to showcase the innovative landscape of the Alentejo region. Participants had the opportunity to visit local businesses, gaining firsthand experience of their innovative approaches and successful practices.
The ALLON_I3 initiative continues to build strong interregional partnerships, and RIC Gabrovo remains dedicated to driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and supporting sustainable regional growth. We look forward to the next stages of the project and the opportunities they will bring for European innovation ecosystems.
