Everyone has heard of the “first seven years” and knows how important they are.
Here, for the seventh consecutive time, Gabrovo Game Jam brings together computer and board game enthusiasts, programmers, writers, animators and artists to challenge themselves and create a game within 48 hours at the Museum of Humor and Satire. The event is part of the prestigious Global Game Jam http://globalgamejam.org.

Gabrovo Game Jam invites you to participate with pre-formed teams or create teams during the event. Please note that one person can register an entire team by filling in the number, names and ages of all teammates.

The evaluation is based on standard criteria, and what the jury will look for and will bring bonus points to the participants are plots and characters in the games, close to Gabrovo and Gabrovo residents – resourceful and thrifty, enterprising, with a sense of humor – as well as the presence of distinctive city symbols.

Department of “Computer Systems and Technologies”
The Department of “Computer Systems and Technologies” at the Technical University – Gabrovo is the successor of the Department of “Automation and Computing”, which was established on April 1, 1984. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established to organize general training in computer technology and its applications. Later, the department was also assigned specialized training in the specialties “Computer Technology” (now “Computer Systems and Technologies”), and since 1991, the specialty “Systems and Management”.
The curricula are tailored to the requirements of companies in the computer industry and to the training profiles in renowned European centers in order to ensure a modern level of training. The department maintains partnerships with universities in Europe, motivating the mobility of students trained in similar higher education institutions outside the country.

Business Complex “Scientia”
Business Complex “Scientia” has been issued a certificate “Investor Class A” by the Minister of Economy, for the project “Software Engineering in Gabrovo”. The main goal of the project is to create a suitable working environment for employees engaged in highly intellectual work, as well as to provide an opportunity for young and creative people who want to engage in programming and robotics to reveal their potential here, in the heart of Bulgaria, Gabrovo. P3 Bulgaria is a reliable partner for software development. Regional Innovation Center “Ambitious Gabrovo”
Supports the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the region through innovative solutions and technologies. This year, the center has expanded its influence with the opening of a European Digital Innovation Hub with a focus on artificial intelligence. The hub, led by the RIC, provides services for the implementation of AI technologies, digitalization and increasing the competitiveness of businesses. The center is actively working on various European projects aimed at supporting companies in the region, providing them with access to financing, training and modern technological solutions.

Youth Center – Gabrovo
The Youth Center works with young people from 15 to 29 years old and its goal is to activate and empower them, their tangible inclusion in the life of the city and decision-making, development of their talents and various skills, organization of workshops and events related to culture and creativity, addiction prevention, mental health, healthy lifestyle, ecology, social inclusion, rights, tolerance, preparation for the labor market, entrepreneurship, etc. Youth Center – Gabrovo is now officially housed in the building of the former Summer Theater, which, amidst reconstruction and completion of a hotel section, has become the new attractive youth space in the city, focused on events for youth, youth exchanges, creativity and expression.
