Bulgarian companies can apply for the “Innovative Company of the Year” competition, which will mark its 20th edition in 2024.
The competition is open to all Bulgarian enterprises that, over the past three years, have developed and introduced high-quality, original innovations that have made a notable impact on both national and international markets. The “Innovative Company of the Year” competition celebrates successful Bulgarian businesses that are built on innovation and cutting-edge technologies. It has become a symbol of prestige for the Bulgarian business community, highlighting its capacity to drive forward innovations that reshape the economic and social fabric of the country.
Winners will be announced in December 2024 as part of the annual National Innovation Forum. Finalists will be awarded the distinguished “Excellence in Innovation” label.
In 2024, the competition will recognize winners in the following eight categories:
Over the past two decades, more than 130 Bulgarian companies have gained recognition for their innovative projects by participating in this competition.
Applicants undergo a rigorous evaluation process, which includes research and interviews to assess not only the novelty and quality of the innovation but also its impact on markets, society, and the environment.
The competition is organized by the “Applied Research and Communications” Foundation, ARC Consulting, and Enterprise Europe Network – Bulgaria, with the support of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, and Sofia Tech Park. The event is also backed by the Bulgarian Association of Information Technologies (BAIT), the Bulgarian Startup Association (BESCO), the Professional Association for Robotics, Automation and Innovation (PARAi), Health and Life Sciences Cluster Bulgaria, Artificial Intelligence Cluster Bulgaria, the Association for Innovation, Business Services and Technology (AIBEST), and the Bulgarian Association for People Management.
